WPG is the Winner of Three 2019 MarCom Awards
December 11, 2019 – MarCom Awards honors excellence in marketing and communication while recognizing the creativity and hard work of industry professionals.
Since its inception in 2004, MarCom has evolved into one of the largest, most-respected creative competitions in the world. Each year about 6,000 print and digital entries are submitted from dozens of countries. 2019 winners include Brookfield, JLL, Nationwide, PepsiCo and ... WPG!
To help tell WPG’s story, we launched our first sustainability report in August 2019. We use an approach to sustainability called ESG, which stands for environmental, social and governance. ESG has always been a part of our DNA, and this award recognizes WPG’s commitment to the communities where we operate as we embrace opportunities to improve the lives of our colleagues, guests, communities and the environment. This award also validates the quality of work produced by WPG’s talented Corporate Communications and Marketing Teams, as well as the talented cross-functional teams supporting our ESG efforts. Our 2019 ICSC RECon booth showcased WPG’s portfolio-wide activations and initiatives. Several activations stood out, including Shelby’s Sugar Shop which provided free sugar rush to attendees, a vibrant gallery wall highlighting WPG’s print collateral materials, The Yard which featured a branded ping-pong table and corn hole boards, and The Canvas Project which allowed attendees to watch artists paint a large mural in real time. The name and theme of the mural was ‘Making our Mark on the Retail Canvas.’ This award validates the quality of work produced by WPG’s talented Marketing Team, as well as the hard work accomplished by colleagues and partners who supported the execution of our meetings and activations at ICSC RECon.
To showcase all the cool stuff happening at WPG, our Marketing Team created a video to be used across digital channels. The video was also prominently featured at ICSC RECon in Las Vegas and the CBUS Retail Annual Conference in Columbus. In addition, the video is featured in the lobby area of WPG’s corporate office in Columbus, Ohio. This award validates the quality of work produced by WPG’s talented Marketing Team, as well as the innovation of the portfolio-wide initiatives and experimental marketing activations featured in the video.
